INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

FOR THE CRUST:

1 1/2 Cups.Of graham cracker crumbs.

1/4 Cup.Of granulated sugar.

1/2 Cup.Of unsalted butter, melted.

FOR THE FILLING:

24-oz.Of softened cream cheese.

1 1/2 Cups.Of granulated sugar.

4 large eggs.

1 Tsp.Of vanilla extract.

1/4 Cup.Of all-purpose flour.

1 Cup.Of sour cream.

FOR THE TOPPING:

1 Can.Of your preferred fruit topping; I used cherry pie filling.

PREPARATION:

Step 1:

Prepare your oven by preheating it to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (160 degrees Celsius).

Step 2:

For the crust, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, the granulated sugar, and the melted butter in a basin of about medium size. Continue to combine the ingredients until the crumbs have a uniform butter coating.

Step 3:

Press the crust mixture into the bottom of a 9” springform pan, ensuring an even layer. You may compact the crumbs by pressing down hard on them with the back of a spoon or the bottom of a measuring cup.

Step 4:

Beat the cream cheese in a large mixing bowl until it is completely smooth and creamy. Continue beating while slowly adding in the granulated sugar until everything is well mixed.

Step 5:

When adding the eggs one at a time, be sure to thoroughly combine the batter after each addition. Stir in the essence of vanilla bean. stir the flour into the cream cheese mixture in a gradual manner while continuing to stir until it is completely incorporated.Do not to overmix the ingredients.

Step 6:

In the end, gently mix in the sour cream while making sure it is distributed equally throughout the batter. After the crust in the springform pan has been made, pour the filling on top of it and evenly spread it out.

Step 7:

Bake the dish for around 60–70 minutes, or until the borders are set and the center is somewhat jiggly, after placing the pan in an oven that has been prepared.

Step 8:

After the cheesecake has finished baking, turn off the oven and let it sit inside for an extra hour so that it may gently cool down. This helps to avoid the cracking that may occur.

Step 9:

Take the cheesecake out of the oven and allow it to come down to room temperature fully before serving. Once it has reached the desired temperature, remove the outer ring of the springform pan with caution. Move the cheesecake to a serving tray or cake stand before you serve it.

Step 10:

Spread a quantity of cherry pie filling or any other fruit topping of your choice over the top of the cheesecake to finish off the traditional Woolworth Cheesecake.

Step 11:

To get the greatest results from the cheesecake, refrigerate it for at least four hours, preferably overnight, so that the cheesecake can solidify and the flavors can develop.
