Baked Garlic Parmesan Fries 🧄🧀
Crispy, golden fries coated with garlic and Parmesan make a deliciously savory side dish or snack. These baked fries are healthier than their fried counterparts without compromising flavor!
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4
Ingredients:
- 4 medium russet potatoes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- â…“ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
- Prep the potatoes 🥔
Preheat your oven to 425°F. Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin, even strips to form fries. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. - Season the fries 🌟
In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. - Bake the fries 🍟
Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy. - Add the Parmesan 🧀
Remove the fries from the oven and immediately sprinkle them with grated Parmesan cheese. Toss gently to coat the fries evenly. - Garnish and serve 🌿
Transfer the fries to a serving dish, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and enjoy them hot!
Chef’s Tip: For extra crispiness, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking to remove excess starch.
